Andreé is a second year medical student in the PRIME-LA program at DGSOM. She was born in Guatemala and migrated to the U.S. when she was six years old. Andreé graduated from Harvard University with a concentration in Human Developmental & Regenerative Biology and a minor in Latino Studies. She is particularly interested in immigrant health and barriers immigrant patients face when attempting to access health care. Andreé’s lived experiences as an immigrant and those of her community led her to develop a deep desire to combine social justice with medicine and she strives to become a physician-advocate that works with and for resilient communities like the ones that raised her.
