AMSA Health Policy Fellow

DAVID FELDMAN is a second year medical student at the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 1994. Currently, he is the UCLA delegate to the American Medical Association - Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) and to the California Medical Association (CMA) Governing Council. In 1994 he received the Outreach Award for helping to develop Camp Footprints, a summer camp for the developmentally disabled. This past summer he was awarded the AMSA Washington Health Policy Fellowship to work with the Practicing Physicians Advisory Council to the Secretary of Health. As part of his fellowship David completed a thesis regarding the role of the physician as an understanding patient advocate, titled "The Quality of Health Care."
