Esteban Aguayo is a Los Angeles native, born in Inglewood and raised in East Los Angeles-Boyle Heights, the son of Mexican immigrants. At UCLA, he discovered Chicanxs for Community Medicine (CCM) and the Latinx Student Health Project (LSHP) where he found passionate, like-minded individuals that provided underserved communities with health education and services. Working with CCM and LSHP helped provide insight and perspective on the many barriers community members have in accessing health care. He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2013 and from the UCSF Post Baccalaureate Program in 2015. Esteban has dreamt of being part of LMSA for many years and is excited to be part of this years mentorship team.
