About

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jim Yee earned his undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Stony Brook University before spending eight years as a clinical laboratory scientist and research technologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. His experiences in laboratory medicine and translational research ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in patient care at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Jim is pursuing a career in urology, with particular interests in men's health, sexual medicine, and reconstructive surgery. During his Discovery Year, he conducted clinical and translational research focused on erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, and Peyronie's disease. Beyond research, he is passionate about medical education and mentorship, serving in leadership roles within UCLA's American Medical Student Association and Urology Interest Group. He aspires to become an academic urologist who integrates patient-centered care, research, and mentorship.

Outside of medicine, Jim enjoys marathon running, hiking, traveling, experimenting with espresso, and tinkering with home automation projects.
