Joaquin Galarza grew up in North San Diego County until attending the University of California in Los Angeles, where he majored in Physiological Sciences. As a current member of the UCLA/Drew Medical Education Program he continues to affirm his desire to become a primary care physician. He also continues to nourish a yearning to work for the medically underserved, regularly participating at community health fairs. Joaquin is involved with the LMSA as the Lennox Supplies Coordinator and is passionate about making a positive impact in the medically underserved communities. When he is not entwined with the fascinating studies of a medical student, Joaquin enjoys biking, playing guitar, and spending quality time with his family.
