I was born and raised in the central valley. My community consisted of resilient farmworkers who worked the fields just to further their American aspirations. This community exposed me to various hardships, but also taught me the meaning of community, solidarity, hard work, and service. My passion for service ultimately led me to pursue education, advocacy, and medicine. Though the journey hasn't always been easy, it has been well worth it.
