Randy Tsai is a first-year medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. After immigrating from Taiwan, he graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in General Biology, B.A. in Biological Anthropology, and M.S. in Biological Sciences. At UC San Diego, he was deeply involved with K-12 mentorship for disadvantaged students and with older adults experiencing homelessness. There, he developed his passion for empowering and advocating for disadvantaged communities. Now at DGSOM, Randy serves as the co-coordinator for Companion Care at the Mobile Clinic Project, coordinator for Family Medicine Interest Group, and co-chair for Health Disparities in Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. In the future, he hopes to continue advocating for the holistic needs of vulnerable communities as a primary care physician.
