Raul received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley in 2008. While at Berkeley he worked tutoring fellow undergraduates in the Biology Scholars Program as a biochemistry tutor. He also volunteered with the FACES for the future program based out of Children’s Hospital Oakland, tutoring high school students. After graduating from Berkeley he went on to attain his EMT and Phlebotomy certifications. He went abroad to Honduras to volunteer as the clinic coordinator for Global Healing’s Roatan Volunteer Pediatric Clinic. He also spent time there as a volunteer for Clinica Esperanza, a clinic staffed both by American volunteers as well as employed residents of the island of Roatan, Honduras. Currently at CDU/UCLA, Raul holds positions in LMSA and SNMA, and volunteers with the Student-Run Homeless Clinic, Mobile Clinic, and APAMSA.
