Roberto Ramos was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and is proud of his Guatemalan and Salvadoran descent. After graduating from Gertz-Ressler High School, he attended Santa Clara University (SCU) where he earned his BS in Biology. Roberto was heavily involved in community service during college. He has served as instructor of English for day laborers, interpreted at free clinics, and tutored high school students. Roberto is passionate about mentoring students who are underrepresented in the health sciences. He is currently a second year medical student at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine through the five year PRIME program. Roberto enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and eating milk and cookies in his spare time.
