Sarai Santos is a first-generation Guatemalan-American born and raised in San Bernardino County. She received her BA in molecular biology at Pomona College where she began pursuing her interest in medicine. Through her work at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, she gained an better understanding of health disparities and the importance of advocacy in alleviating them. During her time in the CDU-UCLA medical education program, she hopes to continue working on issues of social justice and healthcare access of underserved communities.
